Baby shower present - Lace tie shoulder dress and headband

I went to a friends baby shower the other day and needed to whip up something quick that same day so this is what I came up with. I decided to go for a cute lace dress and flower/lace headband to match. I l.o.v.e how it turned out and I 'm thinking I may also make one for little miss E. She was a really good sport when I tried it on her for size and took a few photos. It was freezing outside and she started looking a little blue after a min so just quickly snapped the photos so I could get her nice and warm again.

I used the reversible double crosser pattern from the book Cute clothes for kids by Rob Merrett. I have used this pattern a couple of other times before like here. I have used this book sooo much and is definitely worth the $25-$30 dollars it costs. I have also made the Tweetie pie dress and the Spring orchard dress. I cant wait to try out a couple more of the patterns sometime soon.

Have you ever used any patterns from this book??

  2. I got the book much cheaper using a Hobby Lobby coupon, up until now I've enjoyed just reading it and dreaming. I've never copied patterns before, but I have to say copying these onto parchment paper was very easy. I'm working on the reversible piece now and it's super easy and cute. All of yours turned out beautifully.
